When I came to Canada for the second time (2007 I think… I can’t believe it’s been that long), I was visiting my uncle in Montreal, which by the way it is probably one of the best summers of my life!
I love ska (1rst and 2nd wave or nothing!), and that summer the amazing universe gave me a great surprise: Chris Murray was going to play in the city!
… Yes, of course I went. Yes, I had a blast!
I really liked Chris’ music, but it was until I saw him performing live that I truly understood what it was all about! How can a simple tune make us feel things? He knows one thing or two. The truth is, his music is love and joy, the kind of love and joy that sets you free.
When I knew he was coming last year, I was so freaking happy! And when I saw he was coming this year again, I didn’t even think about it. This is the third time that I go to one of his shows and still counting!
